Explore fixed deposit options with an interest rate agreed at the time of booking, as per the terms of the bank or NBFC.
A Fixed Deposit (FD) is an investment option where you deposit a lump sum with a bank or NBFC for a fixed tenure at an interest rate agreed at the time of booking. Since the interest rate is not linked to market movements, it is often preferred by conservative investors. At maturity, you receive the principal along with the applicable interest, subject to the terms of the bank or NBFC. Deposits with banks are insured by DICGC up to ₹5 lakh per depositor per bank; corporate/NBFC FDs are not covered by DICGC and carry credit risk.
FDs strike a balance between safety and steady growth, offering higher interest rates than a regular savings account with relatively lower risk. With flexible tenures ranging from a few months to several years, senior citizen rate benefits, and options like cumulative (interest paid at maturity) or non-cumulative (regular payouts) deposits, an FD can be tailored to fit short-term goals or long-term wealth building. Many banks also allow loans or overdrafts against your FD, so your money stays accessible even while it's growing.
Earn interest at the rate agreed at booking, for the chosen FD tenure, as per the bank's terms.
